Bib Labels This feature allows for printing the bib labels and the Participant Report. It is important that each bib number have a bib label. The bib label displays the name of the runner that wears that bib number. This is most helpful toward ensuring that each participant is wearing the correct bib number. If the runners are not wearing the correct bib number, the results will not be accurate. For example, in the case of a family, it can be easy to get the bib numbers mixed up between family members. If the dad is wearing the bib number of their 8 year old daughter, he would like score really well in her age division! The label also displays the gender and division of each participant. If there is an error, it is really good to be able to recognize that before the race so that the correct information can be entered into the system. In addition, the label has a QR code. For races that use traditional timing, this code can be used to identify the runner in the finish chute. And, each runner can use their phone to scan this code and be taken directly to their personal result page in the results!

Label Types The system creates files to print on two kinds of labels. The most common type of label is 3 columns of 10 labels, for a total of 30 labels on a sheet. This is Avery 5160. The second type of label is 2 columns of 10 labels, for a total of 20 labels on a sheet. This is Avery 5161. Either one will work just fine.

Bib Number for a Registered Runner The bib labels can be printed all together at the end of registration or in partial groups if registration is ongoing, allowing for breaking up the effort to prepare the bib numbers. Both bib number labels and generic labels can be printed. A bib number label is the label for the bib number of a registered runner. A generic label is the label for a bib number that has not yet been assigned to a runner. Generic labels are printed for bib numbers that can be ready to be used for either runners that will register late for a runner where their bib number is lost or not available. The generic label has spaces where the appropriate information can be written in, such as: name, race, gender, and age.

Generic labels are printed for bib numbers that can be ready to be used for either runners that will register late, or for a runner where their bib number is lost or not available. The generic label has spaces where the appropriate information can be written in, such as: name, race, gender, and age.

The Participant Report The Participant Report displays all registered runners by last name, displaying the bib number that they have been assigned. The Participant Report is helpful to the workers that are distributing bib numbers to the runners. It can also be displayed to the runners so that they can request their number from the worker as they collect their bib number. Multiple copies of the report could be posted in convenient locations near bib distribution.

Preparing to Print Save the files on your desktop.
Open the label files one at a time using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Print the label file on the correct size of label stock using the setting: Print Actual Size
Place each label on the appropriate bib number. (The number on the label and the number on the bib must match).
Also place the generic labels on those bib numbers.
Print the Participation list on plain paper.
